An extra special show as part of Woody’s Bar’s all-day-festival, 8th birthday celebrations.
Folking Around presents live music from 16:00 featuring:

Zoe West & The Hanging Baskets

A singer/songwriter, from sleepy Teesside, recently relocated to the outskirts of London. Writing about anything and everything that’s going on in the world or just in her head. Zoe never hides her distinctly northern twang and never hides her emotions, creating a raw, emotive and powerful musical experience!

James Chapman and the Blue Moon

English ‘alt-country’ originals act, lead by singer-songwriter James Chapman and joined by various ensembles of talented musicians. Expect harmonising country tunes, folk-blues, foot-stompin’ bluegrass and gritty rock-fused-pop songs.

Jake Watson

Jake Watson’s music has said to bellow beyond his years, capturing the story telling of Johnny Cash and rawness of Robert Johnson. Recently placed into ‘The Independent Music Reviews’ top 50 folk acts, Watson has been gaining frequent and positive reviews for his second and latest release ‘Final Thoughts on the Blood Card’. Jake’s latest E.P has taken him on tours of the UK and Ireland gaining national airplay in support of the release. Labelled as ‘Swamp-Blues’, Watson’s music has been said to ‘transport you to a far off land where neo-folk and blues is a staple diet’.

“Every once in a while you get to hear new music which teeters brilliantly on that cusp between the unsigned scene and what you’d expect of the sound, talent and production values of an artist that is already signed to a label… Acoustic/Folk/Blues artist Jake Watson fits that niche perfectly” – Merge Music Magazine
