Jack Joseph Band

London based four piece band, fronted by Jack Joseph, featuring James Baldwin, Alex Edwards, Pete Wand-Tetley. Folk influenced, acoustic meets soft rock, the Jack Joseph Band have gained a strong reputation for equally powerful songs and moving performances. The latest single ‘Believer’ (see below) was released in the New Year with the following EP landing January 29 2016. A limited edition of 200 hand-stamped copies will be made available from the ‘EP Release Show’ exclusively at Folking Around, which will also feature the band playing the full record in it’s entirety!

Jimmy Grayburn

Jimmy Grayburn is a Folk singer and banjo player based in London, originally from Herefordshire, who performs traditional songs from Britain and America as well as writing his own. As well as recently launching his own solo career, Jimmy also plays in the duet The Lion’s Share, who will be releasing their latest EP on January 23 2016. He is an active member of the UCLU Folk and World Music Society – running sessions and co-hosting the UCLU Folk and World Music Radio Show every Sunday from 1-2 on Rare FM.

Danny Leigh

A fresh interpretation of English Folk with a rustic, retro, smooth and emotive quality.
Frequently likened to artists such as: Nick Drake, John Martyn, Joni Mitchell, Black, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and Jacques Brel.
Danny Leigh released his debut six track EP ‘Velvet Eyes’ in 2010, the following year the single ‘Unspoken Words’ and on the 28th June 2013 his second EP ‘Leaning Tree’. His song ‘No More Running’ was featured on the 30:30 Compilation CD, recorded and released by Roundhouse Records, Chalk Farm.


As a young duo from Reading only forming at the rear end of 2014, Loreley have already made waves in their local folk music scene. Since releasing their debut EP in March 2015, Loreley have grown to playing alongside nationally reknowned artists at the Artree Folk Festival. Simon and Maddy’s modern arrangements of traditional songs are sure to excite and delight.
